C-2/Mission Voice
In today's world, integrated and interoperable voice communications is an increasing requirement across the globe. The ability to cross-communicate between different groups and across different technology platforms has been repeatedly shown as a problem in many situations. In addition, the need to support new technologies, particularly network-based, while keeping legacy systems in place and contributing until funding can support replacement, further complicates the difficulty of system design and planning.

To address these problems, Quintron Systems offers the foremost family of mission-critical voice communications systems in the field: DICES (Digital Integrated Communications Electronic System).

Quintron Systems has provided the DICES product line since 1980, as a field-proven voice solution for many Government and Prime Contractor equipments around the world. The current DICES equipment options include traditional TDM-based and Voice-over-IP (VoIP) solutions, all supporting interoperable voice communications with full integration of external interfaces, such as telephone and radios, along with end user keyset interfaces for the command center and mission control operating theaters.

DICES systems provide mission-command features:
  • Instantaneous access to multiple audio circuits from user interface
  • Connection to nets, radios and ringing (phone) circuit types
  • Real-time conferencing of all audio connections (fully-interoperable)
  • Talk and/or Monitor for all audio links from single headset
  • Software overrides to automatically control different priority levels
To support system requirements in:
  • Small to large command centers with mixed technology (TDM-VoIP)
  • Command centers supporting multiple user groups (multi-security)
  • Mobile use where small physical size, weight and power is critical
  • Interoperable links to incompatible legacy audio interfaces
  • Pre-programmed response scenarios

DICES IV provides a traditional TDM-based solution for the large mission center, where utmost reliability and fastest system response are paramount considerations and where existing cabling infrastructure will not support network-based solutions. The latest technology solution is provided by DICES VoIP, offering a more cost-effective client/server architecture that scales from very small system sizes most suitable for mobile applications to very large mission/command center applications, with fully redundant central servers. Quintron Systems DICES provides the premier set of features and capabilities for all critical voice communications requirements… when failure is not an option!

Key features common to both technology platforms:
  • Full interoperability with all voice link types
  • Multiple circuit types (nets, RF, phone, PA, Ringdown, etc)
  • Simultaneous talk-listen on all circuit keys
  • Key-level priority override for multi-security operation
  • Keyset user password log-in and individual configurations
  • Unlimited module growth with full integration of existing equipment
  • Fully-redundant central equipment elements
  • Standards-based architecture throughout
