Quintron DICESVoIP – A Breakthrough in Command and Control
Mission Critical Voice Communication Systems
Santa Maria, CA (June 19, 2006) – Quintron, the recognized leader in advanced interoperable voice systems and physical access control/intrusion detection systems, announces the latest release of DICESVoIP – Quintron’s mission critical voice communications system, which lets users experience virtual communications anywhere in the world from the convenience of their workstation or laptop computers.
The Quintron DICESVoIP system is a redundant Ethernet architecture that integrates traditional TDM and VoIP applications in one robust communications platform. The DICESVoIP system provides all the features and capabilities of Quintron’s DICESIV digital system design, including 1900 voice loops, simultaneous user access on up to 24 voice circuits, and system support for an unlimited number of virtual keyset users.
The features of DICESVoIP system include: server-based design technology with optional redundancy, T1 Gateway allowing legacy analog circuit integration (including telephone, public address, and radio circuits with microphone push-to-talk capability), a VoIP/TDM Gateway for full system-level integration with DICESIV digital systems, encryption availability (VPN, IPsec, 3DES), hardware user keysets with homerun cable or LAN / WAN, and software-based Thin Client keysets for local or remote applications. Features also include unique keyset user profiles with log in and password access control features, with real-time selection of circuits by the user to the active keyset display.
The DICESVoIP system uses High-Availability (HA) Linux operating systems with COTS servers and optional co-resident system administration and operational software suites. This allows for extremely compact packaging for mobile installations. Total bandwidth for the bi-directional communications link to the user keyset is 100kbs maximum each direction serving up to 24 simultaneous talk-listen-monitor voice lines, with voice compression as an optional feature. The intuitive user software application operates on the users desktop.
The first customer delivery was made in October 2005 to Dryden Flight Research Center, as an adjunct expansion to the existing DICES III digital range switch. The DICESVoIP will provide mission connectivity to engineers and managers from their desktop PCs, using the LAN. A similar system is planned for installation summer 2006 to support the Boeing Delta IV launch operations at Vandenberg AFB. Further enhancements planned for late 2006 will include remote VoIP connections using cellular phone, WiFi RF, and Iridium satellite links.
The new Quintron DICESVoIP Command and Control Mission Critical Voice Communication System is available now. Call 805.928.4343 to get more information and schedule a demonstration.
