Quintron DICES IV – Moves Traditional “Mission” Voice Switch Features
Into Existing Military Command Center Environment
The need for a command center operator to juggle multiple phones and other
audio devices to accomplish the mission has been eliminated.
Santa Maria, CA (September 19, 2006) – Quintron, the recognized leader in advanced interoperable voice systems and physical access control/intrusion detection systems, announces the DICES IV Secure Audio Enhancement – supporting the integration of secure phone connections along with other mission voice circuits, including PC audio. This provides access to all audio selections through a single headset, eliminating the need to handle multiple phone receivers and allowing better mission integration of all audio sources.
The DICES IV Secure Audio Enhancement has been approved by cognizant government agencies to accept Defense Switched Network (DSN) audio and provide high-level audio separation and multi-level security control with multiple channel access through a single headset and user interface device. The need to juggle multiple phones and audio devices is eliminated, while providing many more features that augment the existing systems (intercom lines allow operators to talk privately over same system, phone lines can be auto-dialed, rolodex feature allow quick look-up of office/agency contacts, etc.).
“Because of Quintron’s depth of expertise and reputation, we were selected by a major Prime Contractor for this USAF location to deliver the enhanced DICES IV system and user station as part of an integrated new command center,” said David Wilhite, Vice President of Quintron’s Telecommunications Systems Division. “Our unique solution enables complete integration of multiple existing audio inputs, including DSN phones and PC-derived mission audio. The state-of-the-art DICES IV architecture and the innovative hardware and software features provided the required, unique mission capabilities while also meeting the stringent performance and reliability requirements for this 7x24 command center.” Operational cutover was accomplished in January 2006 with full Government Agency approval of the DICES IV solution covering audio control and separation, and data control integrity. Full 7x24 support for this worldwide command center has been maintained since cutover with no modifications of any kind needed from initial delivery. Another delivery is currently under construction for a related command center at a second secure location and an expansion of the first system will be delivered by the end of 2006.
The new Quintron DICES Secure Audio Enhancement for better secure mission audiointegration is available now. Call 805.928.4343 to get more information and schedule a demonstration.
