Quintron’s New DICESVoIP Mission Expansion System Provides

Unique Client-Server Architecture and Flexible Application Scenarios

The system extends existing voice services to users in offices and mobile vehicles at a minimal cost – no new infrastructure cost needed!

Santa Maria, CA (September 26, 2006) – Quintron, the recognized leader in advanced interoperable voice systems and physical access control/intrusion detection systems, announces the new DICESVoIP  Mission Expansion System – an innovative new VoIP voice conference product with an industry-unique client-server architecture designed to extend DICES audio features to users remote from a traditional mission control room via standard LAN networks.  This system provides full user features including multi-channel voice access over one low and fixed bandwidth connection, including full-quality audio and many user-selectable features.  Support for legacy audio connections of all types has also been designed in enabling the incorporation of existing mission voice systems, such as radios, phones and public address.

The DICESVoIP Mission Expansion System uses industry-standard components and technology throughout, with no proprietary or non-interoperable interfaces.  Quintron-specific software modules are used at client end (JAVA-based for platform independence) for user voice interface GUI with all conference summing and distribution done at server end, so there is a very small load on the user’s PC or workstation.  Standard Ethernet networks are used for all distribution via LAN-MAN-WAN connections.

“Quintron DICESVoIP  Mission Expansion System has been installed at launch operations centers at Vandenberg AFB and flight research mission centers at Dryden Flight Research Center giving managers, engineers, and customers the ability to participate remotely in missions from offices using existing computers and networks,” said David Wilhite, Vice President of Quintron’s Telecom Systems Division.  “These applications have been very successful with excellent user acceptance, with typical comments including:  ‘very surprising voice quality,’  ‘performance over our corporate network has been excellent,’ ‘we plan on using this for customers who arrive in their own mission vans and want local communication support,’ etc.”

The new Quintron DICESVoIP Mission Expansion System is available now and is priced much lower than traditional products and is more cost effective than other VoIP solutions with the utilization of existing infrastructure.  Call 805.928.4343 to get more information and schedule a demonstration.
