Access Control Hardware

Quintron's access control application AccessNsite supports the most commonly installed control panels in the industry; Quintron Distributed Controllers and Sub-controllers.

Distributed Controllers
The Distributed Controller (DC) provides real-time processing for all the subsystem devices connected to it. Configuration data, cardholder database, and event buffer information are all held in battery-backed memory. Quintron offers two types of DCs; Advanced Distributed Controller (ADC) and Integrated Distributed Controller (IDC).

Sub-controllers
A Sub-controller is a device connected to a Distributed Controller used to control access points, monitor points, and control points. The most common types of Sub-controllers are the Single Reader Interface (SRI), Dual Reader Interface (DRI), Input Processor (IP), and Output Processor (OP).

Sub-controllers accept any popular reader technology, including readers with integrated keypads for PIN entry, and a variety of biometric readers.
