DICES Sub-Mux System Architecture

The DICES Subsystem Multiplexer (Sub-Mux) was introduced in 1998 to provide a more cost-effective alternative for mission voice projects where reduced access features were suitable. Initial applications for rocket launch operations resulted in user stations designed for exterior use and fully certified for hazardous conditions. Additional user station designs support rack mount and desktop user positions as well. DICES Sub-Mux can provide a complete, stand alone communications solution, or it can be integrated to DICES IV and other vendor systems via a T1 connection.
