Hardware Test Engineer

Santa Maria, CA

Our growing team is looking for a Hardware Test Engineers to join us in shaping the next generation of our flagship product; delivering results, reliability and rock solid dependability. We have over 50 years, delivering a solid, stable, and mission-ready suite of products for mission critical voice communication systems and designing, engineering and installation of communications infrastructure. Qualifications:

Responsible for various NPI projects coordinating with project managers, engineers and technicians to meet our customer demands and integrated master schedule (IMS).

  • Design and troubleshoot test fixtures for product development and production testing
  • Automate test procedures by writing scripts or generating LabVIEW code to effectively test power supplies, subassembly, and component level parts
  • Frequently generating documentation including well written test procedures, presentation slides, schematics, BOM lists, variance reports, and calculation sheets in Excel.
  • Technical Skills and Abilities Design
  • Ability to read and design electrical schematics using AutoCAD and Visio software
  • Experienced with circuit wiring, soldering, and developing the mechanical fixtures from subassemblies to fully assembled hardware.
  • Project completion from proof of concept to fully automated product testing
  • Testing & Troubleshooting
  • Proficient operating bench test equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and frequency generators
  • Knowledgeable with data acquisition devices, various National Instruments hardware, and debugging LabVIEW code
  • Practical experience testing low and high voltage devices (Hi-Pot, Insulation Resistance, etc.)
  • Lead Calibration Expert for conducting calibration tests, training operators, and ensuring instruments are within tolerance
  • Evaluation testing and troubleshooting of test fixtures, power supplies, and printed circuit boards to determine root cause of performance issues
  • Time Management
  • Ability to support and sustain production while leading new projects and designs Leadership
  • Facilitate the creation of project schedules and delegation of individual responsibilities according to the ability of team members and project demands

Education: B.S. Electrical Engineering Technology

Hardware Engineer

Santa Maria, CA

We are looking for a hardware engineers will conduct site surveys, fiber testing, system installation and initial system support. Hardware engineers support procurement, acceptance, staging, deployment, configurations, installation and testing of network hardware; as well as customer support.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering, Networking, Telecommunications or related field.
  • Experience with electronic equipment fabrication and assembly, cable fabrication, equipment installation and wiring termination/harnessing experience.

Software Engineer

We are looking for Software Engineers to design, develop and maintain our voice communication software solutions. The successful candidate will be able to build high-quality, innovative and fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design. Senior Software Engineer responsibilities will include software design and development, testing, and documenting functionality; as well as customer support, deployment support and occasional on-site assignments.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years S/W Development experience in team environment
  • General Programming Skills
  • Experience with Java, C++, scripting and other programming languages

Information Assurance/Cyber Security Specialist

Santa Maria, CA

Seeking information assurance (IA)/cyber security specialists to fill senior and journeyman positions executing the Western Range Modernization Network (WMN) program. IA/cyber specialists will work closely with engineering team to ensure that IA is "built in" from the start. IAs ensure that design and implementation meets all security/IA requirements. IAs maintain site Systems Security Plans, and help the Government develop or update plans for modernization of the Western Range (WR) Communications Subsystem (CMSS) network. IAs use the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to categorize new systems and identify needed security controls for each component of the updated CMSS network. IAs work with the accreditation authority to obtain Interim Authority to Test (IATT), and ensure successful Assessment and Authorization (A&A) of the updated CMSS network Authority to Operate (ATO). Determine program/product information assurance and security standards.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in related technical field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in IA/cyber position (five years for senior).
  • DoD 8570 certification IAM II/IAT II.
  • Experience with system C&A or A&A.
  • Experience with DIACAP and/or NIST Risk Management Framework.
  • Experience performing vulnerability assessments and addressing vulnerabilities.
  • Experience working with system architects, developers and systems engineering to ensure security considerations are part of system design.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly establish proficiency on new IT products/product lines.

Network Specialist

Santa Maria, CA

Seeking network specialists to fill senior and journeyman positions executing the Western Range Modernization Network (WMN) program. Network engineers are assigned to the network engineering team and are responsible for making product recommendations, designing a network solution to meet Western Range needs, configuring network products to meet requirements, and troubleshooting network issues. Network engineers directly support all engineering disciplines in the design of an upgraded Communications Subsystem (CMSS) architecture for the Western Range, allocation of CMSS network requirements, deployment and checkout, test preparation, and test execution. Network engineers also help configure and maintain the Network Management System (NMS). Network engineers also work closely with the Cybersecurity team to ensure the network is hardened to meet security needs.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in related technical field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in network specialist position (five years for senior).
  • Recognized certification in network technology (i.e. Network+, Security+, CCNA, etc.).
  • Experience in network design, implementation, performance analysis, and testing.

Test Engineer

Santa Maria, CA

Seeking Test Engineers to fill senior and journeyman positions executing the Western Range Modernization Network (WMN) program. Test Engineers are assigned to the WMN Test Team, and are ultimately responsible for planning, executing, and analyzing results of qualification and integration level testing. The Test Team works closely with the WMN Systems Engineers to ensure WMN requirements and specifications are adequately verified. They also work closely with the Air Force customer to ensure test plans and procedures are sufficient to support test criteria.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in related technical field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in test engineering position (five years for senior).
  • Hardware and Software testing experience.
  • Experience on a DoD system development program (Western Range experience a plus).
