Dominick Barry

Dominick Barry

President and Chief Operations Officer

Dominick Barry brings over 35 years of diverse industry experience focused on Department of Defense (DoD) and NASA Range and Space Launch Operations. Prior to joining Quintron, Mr. Barry was the principal partner for Pro-Merit, Inc., providing executive level support to presidents, CEOs, and senior executives in the defense, transportation, information technologies, and space industries. Prior to joining Pro-Merit in January 2014, Mr. Barry was Vice President of Strategic Programs for the Global Security Group within URS Federal Services. In this position, Mr. Barry managed the development, planning, and implementation of a strategic initiative focused on the operations, maintenance, and sustainment of Department of Defense Major Range Test Facility Bases (MRTFB). Dominick holds a Master’s of Science in Organizational Management and Behavior from Chapman University and Bachelor of Arts from San Francisco State University in Business and Organizational Behavior. Additionally, Mr. Barry holds multiple certifications in project management, technical problem solving, decision making, team development, and organizational change, as well as holding a lifetime teaching credential in Business and Industrial Management from the state of California.
Peter Hunt

Peter Hunt

Materials Manager

Peter Hunt has supported Materials operations for Quintron since joining the company as Buyer in 1984. He was promoted to Purchasing Supervisor in 1989 and to Materials Manager in 1997. His responsibilities include all planning and execution for material procurement and inventory control to support all three Quintron divisions along with technical guidance for outsourced electronic and mechanical parts.
With his company sponsored CPIM certification by APICS in 1987 he was instrumental in identifying and specifying Quintron’s initial MRP system and subsequent transition to their current ERP system. Because of Quintron’s extensive inventory and record systems Quintron is an industry leader in product life with their ability to repair and maintain both current and legacy products to support their customers.
Mark Calcagno

Mark Calcagno

Vice President, Communications Systems Division

Graduating from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 1980 with a degree in Engineering Technology – Electronics, Mark joined Quintron in 1981 as a design engineer. He provided product design, development and support for the DICES I program and continued this role throughout the following generations of DICES and other affiliated products, including designs of Red/Black secure operator keysets, and the Subsystem Multiplexer used in hazardous locations. As head of the division, Mark leads Quintron’s engineering team, collaborates on project development solutions, and continues to provide product designs. Mark has been instrumental in shaping the DICES product line and producing state of the art solutions for today’s mission critical challenges.
Craig Armstrong

Craig Armstrong

Software Engineering Manager

Following graduation in 1983 from California State University, Fresno with a degree in Mathematics with Computer Science concentration, Craig started his software engineering career at Vandenberg Air Force Base with Grumman and ITT in support of Space Shuttle Ground Operations. He joined Quintron in 1987 and was assigned software development for our first modern digital voice switch, now known as DICES II. He has continued in software development through three more generations of DICES – III, IV and now VoIP. He was promoted to managing this entire process in 1999 and has maintained our leadership position in this critical area of our products ever since. His attention to detail coupled with comprehensive overview of our software architecture are key elements of the on-going product success enjoyed by DICES.
Jeff Scott

Jeff Scott

Customer Engineering Manager, Communications Systems Division

Jeff has been a part of DICES development since its beginning in 1980. He was part of the original team for the engineering and design on the first DICES product and has supported that product line continuously since. In his capacity as Customer Engineering Manager he supports onsite installation, training and troubleshooting as needed. He is also supports the help desk providing 24/7 contact for DICES support requirements.
Jeff used his USAF Crypto training between 1972 and 1978 as his foundation in electronics. After the Air Force he hired on with Ford Aerospace and worked satellite operations at the Vandenberg tracking station until 1980. In 1980 he left Ford Aerospace to join the Quintron team. He finished his first two-year degree in Liberal Arts with a major in History, switched over and completed his Electronic Technology degree and took classes in various programming languages to round out his education.
